Mentorship Program

To complement classroom teaching, HIET has conceptualized a mentorship program that puts student under the guidance of industry experts to execute various live projects.

Mentorship Program was launched in 2012 under the guidance of a group of mentors who personally wanted to guide the students for Industry. These mentors have different role from that of an instructor or expert. They seek to promote an atmosphere of trust, support and encouragement for the students. They create two-way communication resulting into learning processes within the group.

They follow a pattern for accomplishing project work with students which is divided into various phases (mentioned below) covered during two semesters.

Annual Mentorship program was organized at Hi- Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology on 23rd September 2017.This event witnessed representation from various learned industry professionals who interacted with the students and shared their insights for building a platform for corporate success. The 4th Annual mentorship program was indeed a successful and energetic event where the students could understand the real time corporate environment through discussion with the mentors.

The basic aim of mentorship program is to bridge the gap between the corporate and campus through face to face interaction of students with the industry professionals. The mentors had discussed various career prospects with the students and helped them in quenching their curiosity about the procedure of finding a suitable job and associated avenues. The mentors provided guidance on the projects to the mentees and suggested remedial actions to the students from professional point of view. The program served as a motivational tool for the students to carve a niche for themselves in the world of corporate through continuous hard work and vision to achieve their goals as desired.

HIETian Jatin Choudhary presented his project “Academic Analytics: Actionable Intelligence in Teaching and Learning for Higher Education in Indian Institutions” at the International Conference on Skill Development and Technological Innovations on Nov 28, 2015.

HIETian Manisha Gupta presented her project titled “Efficient Analysis of Firm Value: Valuation Cash flow forecasts and comparable approach for Total Enterprise Value” at the International Conference on Skill Development and Technological Innovations on Nov 28, 2015.

Their papers are accepted for publication and they have received a certificate.
