Centre for Technical Training & Industrial Alliance (CTTIA)
It is a fact that every industry requires appropriately skilled manpower. Only with such skilled manpower can an industry achieve its targets and remain competitive in the global marketplace.
Keeping this objective in mind, HI-TECH Institute of Engineering & Technology, Ghaziabad, spread across approximately 18 acres on NH-24, established the Centre for Technical Training & Industrial Alliance (CTTIA) in the year 2010. A dedicated building with an area of approximately 20,000 sq. mt. has been developed to conduct CTTIA activities.
Objective
The primary objective of CTTIA is to provide industry-oriented technical training through experienced industry professionals to enhance the employability of engineering students.
To achieve this objective, CTTIA has established modern training facilities, including:
- Well-equipped laboratories with advanced software and hardware
- Seminar halls
- Office spaces for industrial partners
- Specialized Centers of Excellence
The Centers of Excellence have been established in the following thrust areas:
- Computer Science & Applications
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
- Robotics & Automation
Industry Collaboration
Currently, eight reputed companies are associated with CTTIA in their respective areas of specialization. To ensure continuous improvement, a strong Advisory Board consisting of members from both industry and academia has been constituted.
The Advisory Board meets twice every year to review CTTIA's progress and provide strategic guidance for future development.
Entrepreneurship & Innovation
CTTIA has received financial assistance under the DST-NIMAT Project for organizing:
- Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EAC)
- Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP)
- Training & Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (TEDP)
The following innovative projects received funding support:
- Low Cost Pneumatically Operated Paper Making Machine
- Portable Battery Operated Paddy Cutter
- Wheel Spray
- Electricity Theft Control Device
- Multipurpose Vehicle Support System
- Load Management System
- Voice of DIVYANG
- Solar Based Floating Generator
These projects were guided by professors from the Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering Departments of HIET.

DST Sponsored Programmes
Seventeen programmes sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, have been organized by CTTIA under the following categories:
- Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP)
- Trade Based EDP
- Women Entrepreneurship Development Program
- Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC)
- Faculty Development Program (FDP)
These programmes benefited participants from the districts of Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Bijnor.
CTTIA has also organized and sponsored:

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC)
The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) has been widely appreciated for its innovative initiatives towards establishing Polytechnic Chapters and promoting IPFC Patent Publications.
The Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) aims to motivate science, diploma, and engineering students to consider entrepreneurship as a career option. Each camp trains approximately 75 students.

Center of Excellence
The Center of Excellence at HIET functions alongside CTTIA, where specialized centers are allocated to industries after signing Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). These collaborations strengthen industry-academia interaction and provide students with practical, industry-relevant learning opportunities.
