Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC)

HIET established the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) in May 2013 under the sponsorship of the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, New Delhi.

Objective

The primary objective of establishing IEDC is to create an environment that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, research, and technology-based business development in the region.

To encourage entrepreneurship among Science and Technology students, HIET-IEDC regularly organizes several skill development and entrepreneurship programs, including:

Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC)
Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP)
Training & Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP)
Faculty Development Programme (FDP)

Innovation Support

Keeping in mind the importance of innovation and intellectual development, IEDC provides financial support to five innovative student projects every year.

IEDC functions as a central resource centre for all departments of the institute, helping students and faculty members nurture innovative ideas while promoting Research & Development activities.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) acts as a platform to convert innovative ideas into practical solutions through technical guidance, mentoring, funding support, and industrial interaction.

Advisory Board

To monitor the progress and activities of IEDC, a strong Advisory Board has been constituted as per the guidelines of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India.

The Advisory Board consists of distinguished members from academia, industry, entrepreneurship, banking, and government organizations who provide strategic guidance for sustainable growth and innovation.
