HIET has established Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) in year May, 2013 under the sponsorship of National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

The primary objective to setup the IEDC is to create an environment of Innovation and Entrepreneurship development in the region. To promote Entrepreneurship among the S&T group HIET-IEDC is organizes various training programmes i.e. EAC, EDP, TEDP, FDP etc. keeping the entire target group in mind.

Keeping in mind the needs of innovation and intellectual development IEDC provides financial support to FIVE innovative projects each year. IEDC is functioning like a central resource for all the departments in the institute, which help the departments to nurture Innovation and carries Research & Development activities.

 

To monitor the progress and activities of IEDC a strong advisory board has been constituted under the guidelines of DST which includes Dr. Naveen Vasishta, Director International Division Department of Science & Technology Govt. of India, Shri Satendra Kumar, Asso Faculty Member, IEDCUP (Eminent expert in the are of Entrepreneurship & Incubation), Shri Neeraj Singhal, Secretary, Indian Industries Association, UP, Chairman Indian Industry Association, Gzb. Chapter, Lead District Manager, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Ghaziabad, Shri Rajiv Goel, Industrialist, Expert in the area of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and IEDC Manager Shri Sanjay Kumar.

 

HIET-IEDC has constituted a strong advisory board as per the guidelines of DST, Govt. of India. That includes the member from DST, IEDUP, DIC, Bank & Entrepreneurs to monitor and guide the HIET-IEDC towards sustainable growth
